Pre-Kindergarten

The Cottage
With its home-style structure, the Pre-K Cottage has served as the launch pad for decades of CA’s youngest students. Though physically separate from the rest of the Lower School, it is the entry point to our Pre-K through Grade 12 family. The Pre-K Cottage features a main “meeting area” where students gather as a group for lessons, sing-a-longs, and share times, and also has three other class areas for science, language, innovation lab, and dramatic play—where custom cardboard structures are often constructed to augment curricular areas of study such as outer space or bear caves. The Cottage has its own spacious playground, complete with concrete trike track, swings, and play structure.
The Casita
The new Pre-K Casita is a slightly cozier version of the Cottage. Its homey feel includes an upstairs area used for lessons, including art and music, and a downstairs where dramatic play, art projects, innovation activities, and building occurs. The Casita has its own playground, complete with swings and lawns for students to create and learn.

    Includes an ensemble room, recording and composition studios, music classrooms, choir room, private lesson studios, and a dance studio.

    The CA campus is rich with sculpture throughout.

    Houses administrative offices, the CA reception desk, Alumni Conference Room, and mailroom.
  • Welborn House Welborn House
    Home to the Admission and Business offices of Colorado Academy.
  • Woody's Pond Woody's Pond
    Showcases a freshwater learning environment on campus, and includes the Polk Science Center.
