At CA, our tuition is as comprehensive as possible so that each student enjoys a challenging and rewarding experience. Our tuition covers educational expenses such as classroom supplies, daily lunch, field trips, yearbooks, team uniforms, personalized college counseling, and more.
For Grades 5-8: Tuition includes the cost of a student iPad; families are responsible for a keyboard and case.
For Grades 6-12: Families are responsible for the cost of books/e-books (approximately $150 to $200 per year). Incoming students in Grade 9 are also responsible for bringing a laptop to school, or loaning a laptop from the school if their family receives financial aid; learn more about CA's 1:1 device program.
Our priority is for all admitted students to have the opportunity to attend CA regardless of their family's economic situation. We encourage families to consider Colorado Academy for their students and apply for tuition assistance if the tuition is out of reach.
For the 2023-2024 school year, CA offered over $5 million in financial aid to qualifying families, supporting 190 families in the school. Financial aid is awarded to current and newly admitted students on the basis of demonstrated need, as determined by factors such as income, family size, assets, and liabilities—learn more. As financial aid is treated as a gift from the school, there are no repayment requirements. Given that circumstances and tuition change each school year, families are required to complete the financial aid process on a yearly basis.
First priority is given to families who complete the Financial Aid Application by the February 15 deadline. You Families applying for aid after the deadline are considered for the financial aid waitlist.
Note: If you've already submitted a financial aid application for another school through FACTS or SSS, there is no need for you to fill out an additional application through Clarity Financial, as long as you add Colorado Academy as a recipient of your FACTS or SSS application.
After January 1, you may upload copies of the following documents to Clarity Financial:
2022 tax returns and W-2 statements, as well as 2022 K-1 and business tax returns, if applicable
2023 tax returns and W-2 statements, as well as 2023 K-1 and Profit and Loss Statements, if applicable
If you will not be able to file your 2023 tax return by February 15, we will still process your financial aid application without the 2023 tax return, as long as we have received a copy of your 2023 W-2 statements, your 2023 Profit & Loss Statements from your business if you are self-employed, and your 2022 tax return by the February 15 deadline. You may submit your 2023 tax return, after February 15, once it is finalized.
Please check back in November for a link to our Financial Aid Application.
After the Admission Committee makes decisions, a separate Financial Aid Committee reviews the completed financial aid applications for current and newly admitted students. If families meet the February 15 application deadline, financial aid awards are offered at the same time as admission decisions.
