A Scottish Tale with Logan (Brown) Snow ’07
In the fall of 1999, Colorado Academy Fifth Grader Logan (Brown) Snow ’07 was headed to Edinburgh, Scotland, as part of CA’s long-running Scottish Exchange program. Aboard a British Airways jetliner, accompanied by her best friend and fellow CA exchange student, Grace McGlade ’07, and Lower School Principal Dr. Thomas Fitzgerald (“Dr. Fitz” to young and old alike), Snow could already taste freedom.

Wisdom Echoes in CA Senior Speech Tradition
Senior Speeches have been a Colorado Academy institution for 10 years. Throughout that time, Twelfth Graders have volunteered to take to a microphone during an Upper School Town Hall to share something that matters—from the monumental to the seemingly trivial. Senior Speeches aren’t a requirement; they are simply an open invitation for anyone who wants to stand up in front of their community.

Neely ’24 Spends ‘Fire’ Summer Completing Jet Engine at CA
Graham Neely ’24 used the three-month window between delivering remarks as elected Senior Class Speaker at Colorado Academy’s Commencement in May 2024 and starting his first year at Brown University in late August ensconced in and around CA’s Upper School, where he rigorously tested and refined the design of the propane-powered turbine jet engine he started building as an independent project in the school’s Anderson Innovation Lab in the spring.
