List of 10 items.

  • APPLICATION FORM | BEFORE DEC 15

Apply Now for the 2018-2019 school year!  Our initial application form for the 2018-2019 school year takes approximately ten minutes to complete, and the deadline is December 15 (or at least one week prior to an applicant's class visit).  There is no application fee.

Please also note that separate forms are required for admission and financial aid, though the application cycles overlap. For more information regarding the financial aid process, please click here.
  • PARENT STATEMENT | BEFORE DEC 15

    Parent/Guardian Statement
As parents, you can provide us with insights about the applicant that no one else can. Your statement will help us learn about your child and your family more personally.

Please note that the Parent Statement Form is available to you once you submit the initial student application form.
  • PARENT PREVIEW (Optional) | OCT 25 or NOV 3

We encourage all interested parents to attend one of our Admission Parent Preview Days, our version of an open house and a unique opportunity to see Colorado Academy in action.  Parent Preview features a campus tour and access to our school leadership, classrooms, and current students and parents. On both days, the program begins in the Campus Center and continues as follows:

8:30 AM Opening Remarks from Head of School, Dr. Mike Davis
9:00 AM Campus Tours & Classroom Observations
10:00 AM Student Panels hosted by our division principals
    11:15 AM Wrap-up

  • PARENT TOUR/INTERVIEW | BEFORE JAN 31

Parent Interview and Tour: Required for parents new to the school.
You are invited to attend one of the CA Parent Preview Days on October 25 or November 3 from 8:30-11:15 am.  Alternatively, a tour and interview may be scheduled for the same day as the student visit.  Parents who attend Parent Preview only need to schedule an interview on the student visit day.

Parent Interview Only:  For parents familiar with CA (e.g., current CA parent, attending Parent Preview, or toured in the past). An interview may be scheduled in the morning or afternoon depending upon the day. No additional tour is required.

Please contact Lisa Dean at 303-914-2516  to schedule.

Parent interviews take approximately 40 minutes and may be combined with a campus tour.  They may also be scheduled for the same day as the student visit.  Please complete the Parent Interview and Tour no later than January 31.

Families applying to more than one division (i.e., Lower, Middle or Upper School), please contact the Admission Office at 303-914-2513 to arrange a multi-divisional parent interview and visits for your students.

  • STUDENT SHADOW DAY | BEFORE JAN 31

The Upper School student shadow day is designed to give applicants a "Day in the Life of CA" experience.  Applicants attend classes with a current CA student, eat lunch in the dining hall, tour the campus, and interview with a member of the Upper School Admission Committee.

Once you schedule an appointment, you will receive an email outlining the details of the visit. The Online Application Form must be submitted at least one week prior to the visit, or by December 15, whichever comes first.  Please complete the Student Shadow Day no later than January 31.

  • OPTIONAL STUDENT VIDEO | BEFORE JAN 31

Student Video Submission (Optional for Applicants to Grades 6-12)

To the applicant:  Please prepare a short video about yourself, and address one of the prompts below.  The Admission Committee prefers a video that is less than two minutes and under 200 megabytes.  Videos can be funny or serious; the goal is to allow your personality to emerge.  Thank you, and have fun!
    • Share a story about an act of kindness or an act of courage that you have witnessed sometime in the last year.
    • Tell us how a friend, classmate, sibling, grandparent or cousin would describe your personality and what they most value about you as a person.  Feel free to interview family members about why you might be a good fit at CA.
    • Demonstrate a special talent or skill of which you are proud.
There is an upload feature within the online application portal where you may post your video. Please call us at 303-914-2516 with any questions.
  • FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION | BEFORE FEB 15

Separate online forms are required for admission and financial aid, though the application cycles overlap. We recommend starting the Financial Aid process after January 1, and completing the process by February 15, 2018, to be considered in the first round of Financial Aid decisions.
