  • APPLICATION FORM

Our initial application form for the 2017-2018 school year takes approximately ten minutes to complete and is due as soon as possible (or at least one week prior to an applicant's class visit).  There is no application fee.  Please note that once you begin the application, you may save your work and access it at any time by clicking the button below.

    Application Login

Please also note that separate forms are required for admission and financial aid, though the application cycles overlap. For more information regarding the financial aid process, please click here.

  • PARENT STATEMENT

    Parent/Guardian Statement
As parents, you can provide us with insights about the applicant that no one else can. Your statement will help us learn about your child and your family more personally.

We suggest you review the online Parent Statement form first, type and save your written responses to the questions in a word processing program (e.g. Microsoft Word) and then copy and paste into the form. This will allow you to utilize spelling and editing features while drafting your responses.

  • PARENT TOUR / INTERVIEW

Parent interviews take approximately 40 minutes and may be combined with a campus tour.  They may also be scheduled for the same day as your student's visit.  Please complete the Parent Interview and Tour no later than January 31 to be considered in the first round of admission decisions.  We continue to offer tours after the January 31 deadline, for waitpool consideration for the 2017-2018 school year, or if you are looking ahead to the 2018-2019 school year.

    Parent Interview and Tour
Required for parents new to the school. An tour/interview may be scheduled in the morning or afternoon depending upon the day.  Parents who attended only need to schedule an interview on the student visit day as Parent Preview includes a campus tour.

    Parent Interview Only
For parents familiar with CA (e.g., current CA parent, attending Parent Preview, or toured in the past). An interview may be scheduled in the morning or afternoon depending upon the day. No additional tour is required.

Please contact Lisa Dean at 303-914-2516  to schedule.

Families applying to more than one division (i.e., Lower, Middle or Upper School), please contact the Admission Office at 303-914-2513 to arrange a multi-divisional parent interview and visits for your students.

  • STUDENT VISIT

During an Upper School student visit day, applicants attend classes with a current CA student, eat lunch in the dining hall, tour the campus, and interview with a member of the Upper School Admission Committee. Once an appointment has been scheduled, you will receive an email outlining the details of the visit. The Online Application Form must be submitted at least one week prior to the visit.  Please complete the Student Visit by January 31 to be considered in the first round of admission decisions.

Families applying to more than one division (i.e., Lower, Middle or Upper School), please contact the Admission Office at 303-914-2513 to arrange a multi-divisional parent interview and visits for your students.
  • OPTIONAL STUDENT VIDEO

Student Video Submission (Optional for Applicants to Grades 6-12)

To the applicant:  Please prepare a short video about yourself, and address one of the prompts below.  The Admission Committee prefers a video that is less than two minutes and under 200 megabytes.  Thank you, and have fun!
    • Share a story about an act of kindness or an act of courage that you have witnessed sometime in the last year.
    • Tell us how a friend, classmate, sibling, grandparent or cousin would describe your personality and what they most value about you as a person.
    • Demonstrate a special talent or skill of which you are proud.

Please upload your video to one of the links below in any standard video format.  Remember to be patient as most videos take a few minutes to upload.  You do not need to sign up for a Dropbox account to submit the video.  Please let us know if you have any questions about this process at 303-914-2516.

  • RECOMMENDATIONS & TRANSCRIPTS

CA accepts recommendations completed online through schoolrecs.com. This is our preferred method for receiving recommendation forms and transcripts. Schoolrecs.com notifies the recommenders and school administrators of due dates, communicates with the applicant when recommendations and transcripts have been completed, and allows recommendations to be sent electronically, confidentially, and securely.
