Welborn House

The Welborn House is home to the Admission and Business offices of Colorado Academy.
Welborn House is CA’s historic iconic structure; it is the first place families visit as they enter the Admission Office, and it is the very last building our Seniors leave before they walk across the lawn to receive their diplomas.

Built in 1908, it was the original country home of the Welborn Family. From the inception of CA, it was the home of many of the school’s former heads. For early alumni, it was a dining room and classroom. In short, this important structure holds meaningful memories for many generations of the CA family. It was revitalized and rededicated in 2017 as part of the See it Through capital campaign. At the same time, the Maloy Courtyard was created on the east side of the house, named for alumna, parent, and former trustee Brooke Bansbach Maloy ‘90, and her husband Chas.
