The Leach Center for the Performing Arts will be an inspiring venue for the theatrical productions, concerts, and recitals that showcase the Colorado Academy performing arts and music programs.
Construction of the Leach Center for the Performing Arts began in August 2020, and the new building will be ready for students in fall 2021. The Leach Center, which is named in recognition of a generous lead gift from Bryan Leach and Jennifer Gaudiani, will replace the Froelicher Theatre which opened in 1977.
Key features of the new building designed by Shears Adkins Rockmore Architects include:
Flexible spaces for teaching, rehearsing, and performing
Upgraded digital sound, lighting, and video equipment
State-of-the-art theatrical rigging system
Improved backstage, dressing room, and technical theater work spaces
Increased seating capacity
Expanded lobby space and repositioned theater entrances
Effective heating and cooling system
Needlepoint bipolar ionization system
We invite your support of the Leach Center for the Performing Arts, a space that will entertain, educate, and engage the entire CA community for many years to come.
