Sonorah Hunter, named Head Coach for CA’s championship Girls Varsity Lacrosse Team in 2022, is a Colorado native who grew up in Conifer. Though coming late to the sport in high school, Hunter fell in love with the speed of the game and was recruited to play lacrosse at the University of Denver, first as a midfielder, and then as a draw specialist and low defender. After graduation, she remained involved, coaching in both club lacrosse and camps, for the Colorado National team, and at Columbine High School for nine years.

Hunter eagerly took on the challenge of coaching a championship team and bringing in some new perspectives, as well as building on the team’s existing solid foundation. She is confident that with the stellar coaching staff, they can continue the legacy the program has built and challenge the players to be their best, both on and off the field.
