Freshman Service Learning Day

Freshmen will participate in required off-campus service learning activities with their advisory. They will not be attending classes.
It’s an F day but NOT a late start: All Freshmen will meet in Knowles at 8:10 a.m. for attendance, opening remarks, and an introduction to the day.
- Each advisory will have its own volunteer project for the day: service learning + activism + advisory bonding = rewarding and impactful experience
- Parents, please don’t schedule any appointments for the day. Students will leave campus 8:45-9 a.m. and return by 2-2:30 p.m. in time for the All-School Homecoming Assembly
- Each student should bring a reusable water bottle and snacks. CA will provide a sack lunch for each student.
- Make sure to dress appropriately – some sites have very specific dress requirements that students have discussed in advisory.
- Advisors will have hard copies of their advisees’ medical forms and emergency medications as needed.
