Ask a Question, Save a Life, Suicide Prevention Training: Consider these sobering statistics: Every 13 minutes, at least six Americans lose a loved one to suicide. Colorado has the ninth-highest suicide rate in the United States. Over 1,000 individuals die by suicide in Colorado each year. Join Alex Yannacone, MA, of the CU Johnson Depression Center; Yannacone is a mental health professional trained in suicide prevention with an extensive background in implementation and trainings for prevention and intervention of mental health services and education. Learn the QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) evidence-based suicide prevention training that teaches the warning signs of a suicide crisis and offers three simple steps to help save a life from suicide.
