Agency as Mental Model:
Engage students as decision-makers in learning. 

Permission is a Mindset:
Always start with “Yes!” unless it is illegal or dangerous.

Build for Human Scale:
Students have jagged learning profiles. There is no average.

Be Responsive:
Allow for experimentation. Provide feedback. Support iteration.

Orient with Process:
Maintain discipline, intention, and trust. Promote metacognition.
