Colorado Academy’s entire Girls Team and two members of the Boys Team qualified for state and will compete in the October 28 State Championship meet at the Norris Penrose Event Center in Colorado Springs. At the qualifying Regionals, CA senior Anna Ponzio took the top spot. According to Colorado XC Mile Split, CA’s Girls Team “made a convincing stand for third place [in the 3A Region 5 race] with Mari Annest  and Lauren Fossel  backing up the regional champ, Ponzio. Sophomores Avery Lin and Walt Jones will run at State in the 3A Boys race at 12:40 p.m. and the Girls Team races at 2 p.m., the last race of the day.
