CA Volleyball Heads to Metro League Play

Congratulations to Colorado Academy’s Varsity Volleyball Team who beat Bishop Machebeuf in Friday's conference match by a score of 3-1. “What a great program and win last night for CA Volleyball,” said CA Director of Athletics Bill Hall. "I'm really proud of the growth the girls have exhibited this year. They have developed into a dominant team and one that will do great things in the next few weeks. It will be exciting to watch them as they advance through the post season."

The team also won its three games prior to the Machebeuf conference game, including contests against Prospect Ridge, Kent Denver, and Skyview Academy. Says Head Coach Bob Ulrich, "Our girls have been amazing all season, and last night was a total team effort both offensively and defensively. We had several players who played very well, but as a team we played great! We will finish up Metro League play with a 7-2 record and tied for 2nd place, the best league finish since 2010. Overall our record is 12-6, and we are #10 out of 70 teams in 3A according to CHSAA’s RPI."

The parent of one of the players said after Friday’s win against Machebeuf, “The girls have worked very hard this season and are continuing to build as a team. Their positive results reflect their hard work both as skillful players, but even more importantly, as teammates.
