Birkenmayer-Reed Trophy Comes Back to CA
Colorado Academy’s Boys Soccer Team reclaimed the traveling Birkenmayer-Reed Trophy on Homecoming Weekend after a 3-0 win over the Fountain Valley Danes at home. Each year, the soccer teams engage in a friendly rivalry and the winner retains the trophy for the academic year. Originally for American football, the two teams now square off in soccer. The annual series began in 2009. The competition for the trophy is the revival of the old FVS-CA football rivalry from the 1960s.
