Another Successful Interim Week

Jon Vogels
Once again, Colorado Academy went boldly where few schools will go: into the realm of experiential education at its finest.  For interim from May 22-26, all our students were engaged in some sort of activity that took them out of the normal classroom and engaged them in everything from a trip to Cuba to the rivers of Utah to a yoga retreat in Nederland to glassblowing or blacksmithing locally.  As always, the hard work of faculty members, often in conjunction with professional vendors, paid off for the benefit of our 400+ high school students. Many thanks to program coordinator Forbes Cone, who helped pave the way for all 32 experiences to run.

Happily, next year we will not have the conflict between athletics and Interim, so every student can sign up for anything that interests him or her, whether close to home or somewhere out in the wilderness.  We will start on Memorial Day next year and run our signature program from May 28-June 1.  Please save the dates!
