Girls Soccer is 3A State Runner Up
Colorado Academy came out of the second half on fire, but it wasn’t enough for the defending champs to secure the State Title in the CHSAA Girls 3A State Soccer Championship against No. 1 seed Kent Denver. The final score was 3-1.
The Mustangs controlled the pace of the game in the second half, beginning with a score by Junior Sarah Masinter in the 44th minute. However, they were overtaken by Kent to take home the 3A Runner Up title.
Says Athletic Director Bill Hall, “I am so happy to see the hard work of these student athletes and how far they’ve come. They put up a great fight.”
