US Students Win 'Best of Fest'

Congratulations to the following students who won Best of the Fest in the Fifth Annual CA Film Festival in the following categories:
 
  • Best Drama and Best Story: “Society 27” by Waleed Khalifa, Nate Tormaschy, Brady Anderson, Connor Wharton and Eli Henry
  • Best Acting: Waleed Khalifa in “Society 27”
  • Best Documentary: “The History of Basketball” by Christian Hyatt
  • Best Editing: “Ladies and Gentlemen” by Eli Henry and Avery Niles
  • Best Short Short: “Still Life” by Waleed, Nathan Tormaschy, Eli Henry and Connor Wharton
  • Best Comedy: “Crunch” by Alexander Mushkin, Xander Rodgriquez, Sam Richards and Evan Reiter, and Pissed by Tyler McCoy, Jack Cmil, Bryce Okazaki and Cameron Pollock
  • Best Cinematography: “The Good, the Bad and the Ari” by Ari Fierer, Salman Husain, Peter Schmid and Will Smart
  • Best Special Effects: “Holmes” by Travis Washington, Turner Selby and Christian Hyatt
This year’s festival was judged by former arts chair Angel Vigil, CA alum Thomas Brazier, and CA teachers Mitten Patel, Dani Myers and Presiding Judge Gwylym Cano.
