Colorado Academy fourth grade music composition student Garrett Davidson is the First Place Winner in Class I for the Colorado Federation of Music Clubs in the Jr. Composer Contest.  His entry, “Starting New,” then moved on to the Federation Regional contest where he was also the First Place Winner in Class I.  As the top entry in the Regional contest, he will receive the Geiger-Valentine Jr. Division Award.  His entry has now moved on to the Federation National Contest level.  Garrett is a student of piano but also enjoys learning composition through CA’s Music Composition courses with teacher Brian Golden. Students studying composition work in CA’s Digital Music Lab in the Schotters Music Center. Composition courses are among the many music offerings through CA’s private music lesson program.
