Congratulations to CA senior Isabelle Fries who is the recipient of the swim team’s new and annual Mia Brierly Humanitarian Award. This annual award was inaugurated this year by CA Coach Beckie Mutz in honor of teammate Mia Brierly who was diagnosed with Dysautonomia, a disease of the autonomic nervous system. Dysautonomia is a disease that affects one of 100 teenagers. Fries is the first winner of the award for her dedication to CA’s swim team to help other swimmers train, practice, and learn.

 

Says Coach Mutz, "I have never seen anyone as giving as Isabelle, and she never expects or seeks recognition for her accomplishments.  She is an amazing young lady, and there is no doubt in my mind she will do very well in life.”
