CA Swim Team Hosts Swim-a-Thon for Team Mate

The Colorado Academy Girls Swim Team is hosting a swim-a-thon to honor thier team mate Mia Brierly who has been diagnosed with Dysautonomia, a disease of the autonomic nervous system. As coach Beckie Mutz explains, "Mia will never be able to swim at the intense level that she was at." Her teammates will swim for two hours on Friday, Janaury 29 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Southwest YMCA at Sheridan and Hampden. The Dysautonomia is a disease it affects 1 out of 100 teenagers and it causes chest pain, shortness of breath, GI upset, shaking, exercise intolerance, and other symptoms. The swim-a-thon will both raise awareness of the disease as well as to raise money for the the Dysautonomia Foundation (http://www.familialdysautonomia.org )  Print this pledge form and and support the CA swim team by returning forms and pledges to the CA Athletic Office, or by calling coach Mutz at 303-324-1610.
