For the first time in Colorado Academy history, both the Boys and Girls Cross Country teams will represent Colorado Academy at the State Championships on October 31 in Colorado Springs. 

The girls made a good push at Regionals on Thursday and exchanged places back and forth with Kent Denver and Peak to Peak to earn a place. According to Head Coach Tracy Peterson, “The boys had no believers, but in the end put together a solid team pack to earn their spot.”

 

Notably, Anna Ponzio placed third with a time of 19:39; Lauren Fossel placed ninth with a time of 20:06; and Ella Annest placed 12th with a time of 20:50.
