Boys Tennis to Compete for 4A State Title

Ten Colorado Academy students will go on to play in the 4A Boys Tennis State Championship tomorrow in Pueblo – Jordaan Richter in No. 2 Singles, Noah Forman in No. 3 Singles, Quinn Bermingham and Tyler Fairbairn in No. 1 Doubles, Brent Edwards and Jordan Wagner in No. 2 Doubles, John Barron and Steven Mitchell in No. 3 Doubles, and Brendan Schwartz and Garrett Sutter in No. 4 Doubles.

This marks a record year for the number of CA players making it to the State Championship.

Says Boys Tennis Coach Brian Singer: “This is a great opportunity for the boys, and they have earned tomorrow. We look forward to meeting some terrific opponents in the championships!”

Athletic Director Bill Hall credits both the players and their coaches: “This is really due to the great work of the students and especially Brian Singer and the staff at CA, who have worked hard to develop these players – eight out of ten of whom attended CA before high school.”

In order to take home the team title, the Mustangs will need to win all of their final matches, which will begin on Saturday at Pueblo City Park at 9 a.m. Go Mustangs!
