Congratulations to the Girls Cross Country team, which won the Liberty Bell Cross Country Invitational for Division 4 Girls on Friday, September 11, 2015 at Heritage High School. Sophomore Anna Ponzio won the individual race for girls with a time of 19:49.

 

The Invitational featured 89 different high school teams and two firsts for Colorado Academy – the first time CA has won the Liberty Bell Invitational and the first time a CA athlete has won the individual race.

 

Says Head Coach Tracy Peterson, “Although still early in the season, the girls have a laser focus to finish each meet one step closer to a high state finish.”

 

The boys earned 7^th place out of 20 teams and, according to Peterson, are “taking each meet one step at a time and improving at each meet in order to qualify for State.”
