Congratulations to Colorado Academy junior Justin Bassey who today was named the 3A Boys Basketball Player of the Year.  Bassey, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound guard just last week made a verbal commitment to Harvard after he finishes his 2015-2016 senior year at CA.  Bassey and the Mustangs made a second consecutive appearance at the Class 3A state championship game last month. The team was defeated on both tries.  Through the season, Bassey averaged 23.0 points per game, 8.8 rebounds, 5.4 assists and 2.4 steals per game. According to CHSAAnow.com, Bassey’s 23-point average was ranked fifth in the state, regardless of classification and led 3A.
