Boys BBall Team Advances to Great 8
After a weekend of tournament play for Colorado Academy’s boys and girls basketball teams, the boys advance to the Great Eight appearance on Thursday, March 12 at 10:15 a.m. at the Colorado School of Mines. CA will face the Bailey High School Wolverines. CA went 61 to 53 over St. Mary’s, avenging an early-season loss to the team. The girls team lost 69-30 to #2 ranked Pagosa Springs. It was the first time in many years that both the boys and girls teams went to the state playoffs. This week’s games are part of the 2015 CHSAA State Boys Basketball Championships. Teams winning Thursday’s games will move on to the Friday, March 13 Final Four. The State Championship is set for Saturday, March 14.
