CA Alum Making Headlines with Drone Technology

Colorado Academy alumnus Adam Bry (CA '04) is making headlines on National Public Radio, in the Wall Street Journal, TechCrunch, the Washington Post, and many other media outlets with his startup company, Skydio, which creates navigation systems for drones.

Skydio was started by Bry and two fellow graduate school engineers at MIT. The startup recently announced it had raised $3 million in seed money for the navigation software they are creating.

While working on his masters at MIT, Bry developed autonomously flying vehicles or robotic aircraft. He co-authored a paper titled Rapidly-Exploring Random Belief Trees for Motion Planning Under Uncertainty, which he and his advisor presented at a conference in China. Bry is also an accomplished cyclist and was captain of the MIT Cycling Team.
