Colorado Academy junior Christina Bear designed and implemented an abbreviated STEM curriculum for minority elementary students in the 2014 Horizons Summer Program at Colorado Academy.

 

Bear, who designed the program in order to receive the Girl Scout Gold award, the highest and most prestigious award that Girl Scout Seniors and Ambassadors can earn, taught Scratch computer programming and Lego robot construction and programming to the students over the span of one week during the summer.
