Students Sign with Division I Programs

Colorado Academy seniors Sterre Van Ede and Jessica Gilliam signed letters of intent today, November 12, 2014, committing to their respective chosen colleges to play Division I sports. They were joined by friends, family, teachers and coaches for the occasion.

Van Ede signed with the University of California at Berkeley to play field hockey. She was the season's Most Valuable Player and was named All-Conference First Team. She was part of a highly successful field hockey program that won three consecutive state titles. 

Jessica Gilliam has been playing for the Colorado Stars gold 18A for the past year and a half in softball. Prior to that, she played for Columbine High School. Jessica is committed to play at the University of Dayton and next year will be a Dayton Flyer.
