This past Saturday, I enjoyed one of our Horizons Super Saturday events. It was one of six Saturday events scheduled during the regular school year; they are designed to supplement the intensive six-week Horizons program that takes place each summer.

 

The intent and purpose of the year-round programming is to establish and maintain continuity in relationships, academic skill development, and to provide Horizons students with additional authentic life experiences throughout the year.  

 

It really was nice to reconnect with so many of our Horizons students this past Saturday. Their smiles and bundles of energy absolutely warm the day. Students participated in a creative movement class as well as activities in physical education. Colorado Academy truly embraces the relationship and opportunities presented through the Horizons program.
