CA's Anna Ponzio Wins Regional X-C
Colorado Academy freshman Anna Ponzio took first place in the Regional Cross-Country Meet Thursday at Lyons High School with a time of 19:55. The girls finished the meet in third place and continue to State on October 25. The boys team finished in sixth place at regionals, missing State by just 5 points. Ponzio started the season with a time of 20:32 at the Cheyenne Mountain Stampede. She continued to shave seconds off her 5,000 meter run and took the top spot at the League Meet last week, and did it again at Regionals this week.
