This year’s winners of the Colorado Academy Neustadt Scholar Award, a student writing competition, are Andrew MacPhail, Grace Dorgan, and Trinity Goderstad for their work in writing fiction. In honor of their accomplishment, they will travel to the University of Oklahoma to attend the Neustadt Festival and Award Banquet from October 23 – 24, accompanied by teachers Anne Strobridge, Jon Vogels, and Tom Thorpe.

While at the festival, the students will participate in lectures, readings, writing workshops, musical performances, and more. The Neustadt Scholar Program at Colorado Academy, which was established in 2013 and gifted by Kathy Neustadt, mother of Tess Hankin, Class of 2016, generously pays for all of the trip’s expenses.
