Student Funds Kickstarter Project in 12 hrs 59 min
Give this kid a hand. Colorado Academy junior Nick Bain, inventor of the Switch Port, a dry-erase light switch and the first invention to come out of Colorado Academy’s Upper School Innovation Lab, just began his Kickstarter Campaign, and just 12 hours and 59 minutes later, his project is funded. The sixteen year-old raised more than the $750 needed in a single day. A successful launch also means a spot in the Kickstarter record books: the youngest person to successfully launch a new product on Kickstarter was 19. Nick has already logged over 1,000 hours on this project, from designing prototypes to talking with press and retailers.
