Advice from CA's Third Graders

Mike Davis

This week, as a "getting-to-know-you" activity, Colorado Academy third grade teacher Lori Noricks asked her students to come up with a list of what you need to do to be "cool" in the Lower School. She compiled this list, which I think is good advice for all of us about living life.

1. Tell good jokes.
2. Think hard and discover new things.
3. Be good at something.
4. Don't drop your food in the Dining Hall.
5. Smile.
6. Read more books.
7. Be yourself.
8. Make new friends.
9. Play an instrument.
10. Get better at a sport.

We are off to a great start at CA. It's wonderful having students back on campus with their creative approaches to life. Enjoy the long weekend!
