Triple A Week

Academics, Arts and Athletics on full display this week.
What a great way to spend a week!
Academics: as most of our courses began to wind down, seven of our AP courses culminated in their exams.  Chemistry, Computer Science, Spanish Language, Calculus AB and BC, English Lit, and Statistics all had their AP exams over the week Monday-Friday.  Next week we have Physics B & C, French Language, Economics and Spanish Lit.  Meanwhile, students are completing final projects, making presentations, doing research, studying for tests, and generally keeping their shoulder to the wheel for these last three weeks.  Final exams take place May 21-23.  (See schedule in Downloads.)
Arts: many wonderful performances punctuated a busy week, starting with the always-popular Spring Choir Concert at the Adventist Church Sunday night.  Next came the all-school Art Show Monday night, followed by recitals all week, including the Honors Recital, an all-star performance featuring violinists, piano players, singers, flutists, harpists, guitarists, cellists, Performers audition in front of a panel of outside judges in order to participate.
Athletics: end-of-year competition occurred all week.  Nine girls participated in the tennis state tournament in Pueblo, boys and girls lacrosse started their playoff runs, and ultimate frisbee will play in the state tournament.  Girls soccer will be hosting two playoff games this weekend.  Come out to Slater Field and cheer them on!
Interim is also right around the corner, but more on that next week . . .
