The eighteen women of the Colorado Academy Varsity Field Hockey Team played a spirited game against Kent Denver for the 3A state title, falling to the Sun Devils 0-1. Kent Denver scored early in the game, and the competition continued without a goal until the end. Students, faculty, parents, and alumni turned out at Don Breese Stadium in Monument to support the Mustangs. The team went head-to-head with Kent Denver on three separate occasions during the season. CA finishes with a 12-6-1 record.
