Stanford Honors CA Teacher

Stanford University is honoring CA Science teacher Dr. Charles Coleman for "exceptional teaching." Stanford President John L. Hennessy and Dean of Undergraduate Admission and Financial Aid, Richard H. Shaw, notified Coleman in mid-October of the honors.

Each year, Stanford students nominate a high school teacher who has had impact on their education. Andrew Elder CA'11 and Stanford Class of 2015, nominated Coleman saying, "Doc' Coleman had a tremendous impact on my experience at Colorado Academy and is a mentor in every sense of the word. From the rush of schoolwork to learning about the animals halfway around the world, Doc's demeanor always made me grateful to be in his company. Every time that I had the opportunity to be in his classes, I felt as though I was allowed to tap in to the mass of information he has accumulated over the years. I will truly miss hearing his anecdotes and greeting him in the halls."
