CA Names Women's Lax Coach

Colorado Academy Athletic Director Bill Hall announced that Molly Miner (CA ’02), (University of Notre Dame ’06) is CA’s new women’s lacrosse coach.

Miner played college lacrosse for the Division I Fighting Irish. Notre Dame made the NCAA Division I tournament for two years while Miner was there, and the team reached the national semi-finals one of those years.

At CA, Miner was a two-sport star in field hockey and lacrosse, was a four-year letter winner in both sports. She was named honarable mention All-American in lacrosse while at CA. Colorado Academy won the girls state lacrosse championship during her time here.

“I have an amazing opportunity to come back to the school I love and share the fire that CA lit in me years ago,” she says. “I owe much to lacrosse: learning to work hard, devote myself, and push boundaries; but it was the CA coaches and community that instilled those values in me. For me, CA defines strength of character. This is our edge and will be what sets us apart competition. Get ready for a smart, dedicated and dynamic CA lacrosse team,” she says.

Miner graduated from Notre Dame with a dual major in Film and Sociology. She is currently Director of Operations at FlyLow Sports, a freeride winter sports apparel company. Miner also coaches at the middle school level as an eighth grade field hockey coach. Her first season with the CA Mustangs will be the spring of 2012.
