More than a dozen CA seniors shared their talents in the second annual Senior Showcase this week with performances ranging from an original choral composition to a string quartet and from opera to rap. “Juniors, it will be your turn next year,” said Fine and Performing Arts Chair Angel Vigil as he applauded the work and dedication of the seniors. The showcase opened with Petra Jans and Amanda Troy on the piano. Paige Lindquist belted out a song about Hollywood, while Paige Roth sang a moving opera piece. Deirdre Plaus, Allie Schneider, Thomas Sisk, and junior Ethan Hill played the Beatles’ 1966 hit, "Eleanor Rigby" on strings, followed by an original rap piece composed and sung by Avvery Boyd and David Kessler. Kurt Oleson played his own arrangement of a piece on piano, followed by the grand finale of the Upper School Chamber Choir performing Parker Davis’ original choral composition titled "Faeling."
