Great Middle School Service Day

By Bill Wolf-Tinsman
Yesterday, the Middle School was out and about supporting our community during our Service Day. Students in each grade participated in a wide variety of activities. Our belief is that students exposed at a young age to a range of ways to be involved, learn, and help others are more likely to continue that habit in the future.

Over the Middle School years, we try to allow students to experience different ways that they can be of help—with young children, with seniors, combatting food insecurity, in the outdoors, etc.—as this may help them discover where their passion lies. We got lucky with the weather, and the reports from students and teachers are quite positive.

On April 11, as part of our Parent Association meeting, we will have a presentation entitled, “Vaping, Toking and Other Things Kids Shouldn’t Do.” Drs. Charles and HyGia Park specialize in addiction and child psychology and are looking forward to sharing what they have learned about these important subjects. I have put the meeting details at the end of this note.  Hope to see you there.

If you have any questions or if I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.
Best,
Bill
