Teachers and students have been working diligently and making progress. January, February, and early March are in some ways the “engine” of the school year. We encourage and practice good habits as we get rolling in September and then raise expectations for high-quality and more abstract learning during the winter. I hope students feel great about their week-over-week progress as writers, thinkers, problem solvers, and collaborators.
