Grandparents & Special Friends Day - Lower School Details
Dear Lower School Families,
We are looking forward to our Grandparents & Special Friends Day on Friday, December 16. As we prepare for this exciting day, we want to share some details with you and also gather some information from you.
The schedule includes:
- 9:00 a.m. – Field House doors open. The Field House is located in the Athletic Center. A light breakfast will be provided for Grandparents and Special Friends.
- 9:30 a.m. – Welcome, with remarks from Head of School Dr. Davis and musical performances.
- 10:00-11:00 a.m. – Grandparents & Special Friends will be escorted to the Lower School classrooms. Grandparents and Special Friends will visit classrooms and then tour with their Lower School grandchildren/students.
- 11:00 a.m. – Grandparents & Special Friends depart.
If a child does not have a Grandparent or a Special Friend available to attend, a child may bring a parent to join them.
We are asking that each family complete the attached form so that we know:
- who is attending for a student on this day;
- if a student is sharing a Grandparent or Special Friend within the LS or in another division and the family plans for the siblings;
- student dismissal plans with a Grandparent or Special Friend;
- student dismissal plans if not leaving with a Grandparent or Special Friend; and
- if a student is not attending school on this day.
Reminder: lunch is not served on this day.
Please complete the attached form and return it to your child’s classroom teacher no later than Tuesday, December 13.
