Having the colder temperatures arrive is a good reminder that students should ALWAYS come to school with the necessary outer layers, hats, gloves, etc., that will be needed to be outside during the school day. Unless it is unusually cold or inclement, we will ALWAYS have our morning, afternoon, and precess (Grade 6 only) breaks outdoors, so the kids can run around a bit. We appreciate your help with this, as sometimes students appear to be dressed for the beach when the temperature is subzero. 

 

On the positive side, the colder weather can create a good backdrop for the stretch of time between now and April during which students have one or two fewer outdoor options, which can lead to terrific classroom learning.
