Great to see everyone last night!

By Bill Wolf-Tinsman
Back-to-School Night is such a special evening because it gives us a chance to share in person our excitement for our program and working with Middle School students. Our teachers and I hope that you got a flavor of the fun and good learning we intend to inspire this year. Will we ask your child to work hard, try new things, and develop new skills? ABSOLUTELY. We will also be there to support them every step of the way.

Next week is fall trips week for Grades 7 and 8. The Eighth Grade embarks on a two-night, three-day backpacking expedition in small patrols. The Seventh Grade heads off for an advisory-based, community-building overnight experience at Golden Gate Canyon State Park. As a school, we believe in the power of outdoor experiences to develop community, grit, communication, and leadership skills. We also believe it is downright fun to be in a beautiful place enjoying each other’s company. A good deal of information has been shared with each grade level about the logistics of these two adventures. Please help us by arriving on time with all the necessary gear.  We’ll take it from there!

Thanks again for coming out and joining us on Thursday evening. We are off and running for a great learning year. I am very lucky to get to work with such wonderful teachers and supportive parents. If you have any questions, or if I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best,
Bill
