Interim was a great success

By Bill Wolf-Tinsman
All,

What FUN we had on Interim last week! I had the pleasure of going to Moab with 20 terrific Sixth, Seventh, and Eighth Graders. We hiked in Arches National Park, technical rock climbed in the “Ice Cream Parlor,” and white water rafted the Colorado River. Upon return, I got to hear great stories from teachers and students about other adventures and experiences Middle Schoolers enjoyed. I would like to thank ALL of our Middle School teachers for the time and care they put into crafting these learning experiences. It is a big “lift,” and they made it look easy. Special thanks to Forbes Cone, our intrepid Director of Interim.

And on to Giant Relay Day … despite what is expected to be not very good weather, our plan is to celebrate the year tomorrow. Students will have community-building trips and on-campus experiences in the morning, and activities in the afternoon. A high point will certainly be the Middle School Relays. (Thanks, Mr. Olmstead, for organizing these.) We ask that students come prepared for the cold and wet, though, as our plan is to be outside for the Giant Relay at 3:00 p.m.  Emails with details of the schedule and events have been sent to all students.

If you have any questions, or if I can be helpful in any way, please give me a ring.

Best,
Bill
