Spring Conferences for US (Grades 9-11)
We hope to see all parents and guardians in Grades 9-11 for Spring Advisor Conferences on Friday, March 4!
We ask that parents and guardians make every attempt to attend Advisor Conferences on March 4, as advisors are not available to schedule conferences outside of this date.
Advisor Conferences provide a good opportunity to talk about where each student is as we enter the last trimester of school, and also to discuss their course request plans for next year.
All conferences will take place in person. However, you may choose to book your conferences over Zoom. Please note: either ALL your conferences will be in person, or ALL your conferences will be virtual. The teacher’s Zoom link will be listed on your conference schedule along with the classroom location. For detailed instructions for creating Zoom conferences click here.
To reserve your parent conferences, follow these steps:
- On Friday, February 4, you should have received an email with a reminder of your log-in name and password to the conference system. If you did not receive an email, you most likely did not elect to keep your account after the fall conferences and will need to create a new account. You can do this at any time before the system opens for reservations. Instructions here.
- All the information you need to sign up for conferences can be found here, including:
- Login information: You may use your account from the fall if you chose to keep it.
- Conference times in each division: Please note that Upper School and Middle School conferences are with the student’s Advisor only. This means you will only need to make ONE reservation for your Upper or Middle School student.
- When the system will be open for reservations
- Directions on how to use the conference system
- Whom to contact if you have questions
- The master password and link to the conference site
For parents/guardians of Seniors:
Given that these conferences are intended to discuss the course selection process for the 2022-2023 school year, Senior parents are not required to schedule a spring conference with their child's advisor on this day. Knowing there are other topics Seniors and their families might be eager to discuss, we encourage parents and their Senior students to decide together—and on an individual basis—whether to schedule time with the advisor.
If you choose to schedule a conference, your child's advisor will happily meet to discuss a specific issue or generally check in about Senior year, plans for life after CA, etc. Grade 12 Dean, Gabe Bernstein is always available to meet with anyone who would like to sit down, as well.
