And what a return it’s been. We thank all of you for the tremendous support and flexibility you’ve demonstrated with our return-to-campus testing, which took place on Tuesday, January 4. As you likely saw from Dr. Davis’s email, the initiative was exceptionally helpful in ensuring our start to 2022 was as low-risk as possible.

As you likely also know, today is Mid-Trimester 2 here at the Upper School. Below is a rundown of important reminders and some details for the next few weeks:

At the Upper School, we only write individual comments for students at the end of Tri 1 for those students unable to attend conferences, or if there are concerns or timely updates. We write full comments for all students at the mid-trimester for Trimesters 2 and 3. If you have questions between the publishing of comments, please remember teachers always welcome check-ins and parent outreach.

Teachers will write comments for all students at mid-tri for the second trimester, which lands on the Friday of our first week back. Mid-trimester comments will contain details of your student's performance and specific suggestions or observations.

Comments will be published online on Friday, January 14, at 4 p.m. Given that we are only at the mid-trimester, we will not publish grades. Here are the steps to view your student’s comments:

Special schedule on Monday, February 28, 2022 (F Day):
As part of our transition from Trimester 2 to Trimester 3, we will end class at 1 p.m. on Monday, February 28, following this schedule. We are only surrendering Long Advisory, meaning students will not lose any instructional time.
