Fall in Lower School means cool temperatures, leaves, and Halloween Parade

By Angie Crabtree
Dear Lower School Families,

What a wonderful fall week at school! We enjoyed sunny skies, fall leaves, and cooler temperatures! Please remind your child to bring a warm layer to school during colder weather.

CA Cleans Up
At the end of each school day, we have a classroom team assigned to clean up our Lower School area. It’s so amazing to observe our students take pride and care in maintaining their campus. A huge thank you to each classroom who gives their time to make a difference at the end of each school day!

Book Fair
We are very excited for the upcoming Book Fair, a Celebration of Reading, on Thursday, October 21. Each class will have a time to visit the Book Fair during the day. Students are invited to participate in the Pumpkin Pageant!

Halloween
Only two weeks away! We will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 29 as a Lower School. The costume guidelines were reviewed at Town Meeting last week and included in the CA Today. They are also provided in the attached flyer. We will have a celebration and parade as a Lower School during the day.

In order to continue our protocols to protect our Lower School students from the spread of COVID-19, we are unable to host parties in the classrooms or have parents or guests attend the celebration or parade. The Lower School faculty, staff, and I will ensure that this is a special day of fun and celebration for our students. We will share lots of photos following this special day.

Kind regards,
Angie Crabtree
