Town Meetings bring the Lower School together
Dear Lower School Families,
Thank you for joining us this week for the CA Connects Parent/Teacher Conference Day! The teachers truly appreciate your insight and support as we begin the school year with your children.
We are looking forward to a Lower School Town Meeting on Tuesday, September 7 in the Leach Center for the Performing Arts. This will be our first in-person Town Meeting since March 2020.
Gathering as a Lower School community is one of our favorite times together…and having the Leach Center for the Performing Arts as our place to gather is so amazing! A Town Meeting is designed for the Lower School students, faculty, and staff to come together as a school community and highlight school initiatives.
Our Town Meeting typically includes a:
- spotlight on a specific theme,
- review of our expectations to be kind, be safe, and be respectful in our words and actions,
- celebration of birthdays,
- sharing of updates from the library,
- focus on social-emotional skill development with Mrs. Hamman, and
- collection of many other fun things that relate to the specific month.
Car Signs at Pick-up:
Please place the name car sign (that was mailed to you in early August) on your passenger visor. We have a six rotations for faculty that support afternoon pick-up each day, and the name car sign allows us to move through the process much faster.
