Final Parent Association meeting roundup

By Bill Wolf-Tinsman
Thanks to all who attended our final Parent Association meeting.  We split our time between debriefing what has been a “tricky” but wonderful year and discussing next year while giving an overview to the parents new to the Middle School.  I met with two wonderful Seventh Graders who described this year as “Weird, but GREAT!”  That may, indeed, sum it up best.

I have attached the slides I used during the meeting.  I hope that they are helpful should you not have been able to attend.  The long and short is that everyone pulled together this year to try to encourage academic as well as social, emotional growth.  I was in each of our teacher’s classes over the past two weeks and was genuinely impressed by the hard work of our students and the aspirational efforts of our faculty.

I love what I do and believe in the transformational effect that caring educators can have on young people.  I can’t say enough as well about how great this week has been for us.  Walking by signs of appreciation, enjoying burritos, receiving a generous gift card, having a latte and am looking forward to a Duffy Roll on Friday.  What a “feel good” for the folks who have been giving it their ALL during this COVID school year.  Thanks, parents!

If I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best,
Bill
