Farewell to 2020; onward to 2021

By Bill Wolf-Tinsman
All,

This week went quite well; the kids moved smoothly into our remote schedule, and learning rolled forward. My appreciation to parents, faculty, and students for making this work out as it did.

We finished 2020 at school by bringing everyone together one last time before Winter Break. Highlights of the Town Meeting included: Dr. Davis congratulating the kids on their efforts so far, a mindful minute journey led by Mrs. Babin, and a LOUD send off from me to EVERYONE to enjoy a restful, healthy and, hopefully, fun Holiday.

As Mike indicated, we will start January with two weeks of remote learning. As we did this week, the MS will be using our remote schedule (view/download here: Grade 6 | Grades 7 & 8), not our hybrid schedule. We continue to believe that this schedule strikes a better balance for students between learning and screen time while providing opportunity to start homework and get extra help from teachers as needed.

It continues to be my pleasure to work with this great group of kids, parents, and teachers. I hope you find time for recharge, fun, and a good book in the coming weeks. If I can be helpful in any way, please do not hesitate to contact me. See you in 2021!

Best,
Bill
