Snow! And returning to full in-person learning

By Angie Crabtree
Dear Lower School Families,

The snow definitely brought a little excitement to the Lower School this week. Thank you for sending your children with coats, gloves, hats, and snow boots. We all enjoyed the outside time and even managed to build a few snowmen on the playing field.

We are preparing for the Lower School students to join us on campus on Monday, September 14. As the students begin their day in the classroom, I will host a Town Meeting to welcome everyone back and review our protocols and expectations on the CA Campus. Each classroom also has a new daily schedule to accommodate half-capacity in all specials classes, except P.E., where we have the outdoor and indoor space to meet with a full class together. An example would include the Mustangs attending Science while the Rockies attend Spanish, and they will rotate the following day. I will post a new schedule this weekend on the class page for the Fully Remote Learners, along with the information relating to the “day” (1M-1R-2M-2R…) of the schedule to follow.

Thank you for attending the grade-level parent coffees during the past two weeks. It has been helpful to hear ideas from you as you support your children in learning remotely. Brooke Hamman, LS Counselor, and I have collected some of the information shared during the multiple coffees relating to resources.

Reminder: We are asking that all students wear a clean mask to school each day and pack an additional clean mask in their backpack.

Please review the Lunch Additions information in the CA Today.

Thank you for your continued support as we navigate each new phase of returning to school.
